It's been a bit quiet on the Eden Park front, nothing in the papers and in fact the only communication that's been received from The Eden Park Trust Board is to inform the association that there's nothing to report.
That being said they are currently distributing their May 07 Commentator ( click here to download/view - 254kb)
One our members recently (well in January) kindly put his hand up to be our "Eden Park Advisory Board" representative and attended a value management workshop organised by Auckland City Council to discuss "Kingsland pedestrian connection between Eden Park and rail" but unfortunately the meeting was hi-jacked by other attendees to discuss concerts at Eden Park and not much progress was made at the meeting.
I am going to arrange a meeting with The Eden Park Trust Board as soon they have some news for us, to determine how the government funding (which I understand has still not come thru) will effect the development of Eden Park and how this will benefit the community (ie. will temporary stands mean we lose the "community hall" and access to the No.2 pitch as a public area etc.)
If you have any concerns, please drop me a line.
