Hi

The next "Eden Park Advisory Group Quarterly Meeting" is scheduled for Tuesday, 28th August, I do not have the Agenda and Minutes from the previous meeting yet (will circulate as soon as I have them), but was wondering if anybody would like to attend this meeting with me (I don't think they will allow more than 1 or 2).  Please let me know if you would be interested in attending.

Also.. Following a previous email, I received an email from Mark Donnelly (EPNA) which I'm happy to share with you.

"Hi

I've seen your latest email/website criticism of EPNA re parking. Your information is incorrect.

EPNA has not "nagged the Council" re residents selling parking. In fact the new condition in the consent conditions has come about because Eden Park's own experts raised it during the hearing. It did not come from EPNA. It came from Australian examples - which the commissioners had picked up on, and inserted into the conditions. Nothing like that has been raised by EPNA either directly with Council or via the hearing. On “selling” parking, the only issue to date is that we have previously agreed with both Eden Park and Council, that the ROP system should not allow abuse – such as people getting large numbers of tickets and “selling” on street parking, as this would defeat its purpose.

We have worked hard over the years to make groups such as the CLG and the new EPAG work in a constructive manner. EPRA's continued attacks on other members is very unhelpful and obstructive in this endeavour.

Please retract and correct your emails.

Regards
Mark"

I did point out to Mark that if the EPNA had attended the public meeting, he could have defended his position at the time.  But again we are being criticised for merely documenting discussions at meetings.

On a lighter point, one of our members sent me a link to a blog from "Cactus Kate" - 8 May 2007, which I found quite amusing. Click Here to View
