Newsletter - Issue 40 - 27 Nov 07
It's been a while since a newsletter was sent out, mainly because there has been little to report, so in light of todays Herald report (who seem to have a solely negative angle on everything to do with the redevelopment and never call me to discuss our members feeling) I got the following statement from the Eden Park Redevelopment board.

"There have been no formal changes to the design and, as you will be aware from public comments in the paper, the Council has not formally agreed any funding arrangements for any scheme.

However legacy planning (i.e. possible long term designs for the Park) has always been incorporated into the design work undertaken by HOK to ensure that current designs are consistent with the long term needs of the Park, its users and the neighbourhood. Whether any of the longer term planning is brought into the current design scope is an issue that is currently under consideration by the Redevelopment Board.

We expect to have a clearer picture of where those plans fit in the context of resource consent requirements in the next week or two and we would like to keep the EPRA informed as soon as reasonably practical."

The Eden Park Redevelopment board have said they will update as soon as they have a clearer idea at the conclusion of the current design phase

Regards
