Rate-payers welcome temp seats
A pressure group trying to reduce rate payments welcomes the scheme to use temporary seating at Eden Park.

Anti-rates campaigner David Thornton believes many will approve the plan, as it would mean less of a contribution from ratepayers. He suggests the government may be feeling the taxpayers' wrath over any potential rises.

The Eden Park Trust Board has yet to confirm or deny speculation surrounding the site's redevelopment.
